>> The drawing started in about 2nd grade and continued right on through high school. I wanted to sneak a guitar or bass into class to keep myself busy while the teachers babbled but of course a sketchbook is MUCH less conspicuous (and from some angles it even looks like you're WORKING! HAHAHAHH!) so by graduation time I was good enough to get into the Joe Kubert school of cartoon & graphic art where I began my art education. To this day I'm able to teach myself new things & improve because of the basics covered in that school. I know lot's of student's who come out of there with mixed feelings but I'm not too proud to give credit where it's due. Thanks JKS!

>> Professionally, I've been the art director of a screen print shop and currently in the art department of a flag & banner corporation. As an illustrator I've done about 30 pages of tattoo flash and some work for Pinnacle Entertainment Group's "Deadlands" role playing game. I'm in their books "City of Lost Angels", "Boomtowns", and "Skinners".

>> I think it's a shame when artists spend so much time trying to be technically better they stop using their imagination. Not that I don't respect artists who only do portraits & landscapes because it still takes a lot of skill, but why use it ONLY on things people can already think of on their own when you can depict so much more? Of course I'm in awe of skilled realistic artists like Loomis, the Wyeths, Franklin Booth, etc.....  However, some people get so stuck on that stuff they look down on innovators like Picasso, Dali, or even some great comic artists! Oh well, their loss.......

>> I'm not the best artist in the world (far from it!) but trying hard to learn more and hoping what I lack in skill will be made up for in creativity (maybe one day I'll have both...heheheh). Those are  my favorite artists, the skilled ones who can come up with highly imaginative pieces. My goal is to someday be named among them.
That's my story & I'm stickin' to it!
